9News GM leaving Denver for Portland, station names replacement

Steve Carter, president and general manager of KUSA-9News in Denver, is leaving the TV station for a new role in Oregon beginning Dec. 3. Carter has been named president and general manager of KGW in Portland, also a TEGNA (NYSE: TGNA) station. He succeeds DJ Wilson, who is retiring. Mark Cornetta, currently executive vice president at TEGNA, will be assuming the role of president and general manager of 9News in addition to his existing duties. He currently oversees operations in Denver as well…
