Central Pacific chairman joins board of Japan’s 2nd-largest bank

Central Pacific Financial Corp. Chairman and CEO Paul Yonamine has been named to the board of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp., the second-largest bank in Japan. Yonamine’s appointment is effective June 27, subject to approvals from Japan regulators, Central Pacific Financial (NYSE: CPF) said in a statement.
