Former UT President Bill Powers dies

Former University of Texas at Austin president Bill Powers died Sunday. He was 72. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed. Powers was an "eloquent and fierce champion for UT students, faculty and staff," current UT president Greg Fenves said in a Sunday morning letter to the UT community.
