French conglomerate jolts Columbia with 100 jobs

A global manufacturing company announced a $65 million investment in Maury County on Tuesday, in an expansion that could create about 100 jobs. Mersen, which is headquartered in Paris and reported almost $1 billion of revenue in 2018, plans to buy and renovate an industrial building in Columbia, which is roughly 25 miles south of Franklin.
