GE’s largest union OKs agreement, putting labor woes to rest

The recent labor unrest at General Electric Co. came to an end on Tuesday when members of the IUE-CWA union — including workers at the GE plant in Lynn — voted to approve a labor agreement after rejecting an earlier version last month. The IUE-CWA was the last of the unions involved in the negotiation of the agreement to approve a pact. It was also the largest union involved in the talks.  The agreement lasts until June 2023.
