Both candidates vying in the Republican runoff to represent District 21 in the U.S. House say they’re pledged to continuing the conservative fight in Washington, D.C.

Chip Roy, a lawyer and businessman from Dripping Springs, is facing surgical products supplier Matt McCall of Boerne in the May 22 primary runoff. The winner will face the Democratic nominee — either Joseph Kopser or Mary Street Wilson — in November to succeed longtime GOP Rep. Lamar Smith.
