A new discovery at Oregon Health & Science University offers new hope to those suffering from multiple sclerosis. Scientists led by Larry Sherman, a professor in the Division of Neuroscience at the Oregon National Primate Research Center at OHSU, developed a compound that promotes the rebuilding of the protective sheath around nerve cells that gets damaged by MS.
