The president of the Cincinnati Federation of Teachers told Cincinnati City Council on Monday that developers have told her an unnamed city official has asked them for campaign contributions in exchange for tax abatements. “They (developers) are paying money to have meetings to have their abatements approved,” Cincinnati Federation of Teachers President Julie Sellers told council’s budget committee, which was having an informational meeting on the city’s tax abatement policy.
