Three charged in human trafficking investigation – CityNews

Two women and a man from Toronto have been charged in a human trafficking investigation in Peel Region.

Police say between July and September of this year, an 18-year-old woman was lured into the sex trade by three individuals. During this period, the teen was forced to work as an escort at various locations across the GTA.

Earlier this week, police charged Jason Deidun, 36, Dana Bernard, 38, and Ashley Bernard, 20, with several prostitution-related offences.

Police are concerned that there may be more victims and have asked anyone with information to come forward.
