U.S. mortgage rates continue decline

U.S. mortgage rates are continuing to decline and remain at levels not seen since November 2016, according to Freddie Mac. The 30-year fixed mortgage averaged 3.55 percent for the week ending Aug. 22, the same as last week. A year ago, mortgage rates stood at 4.51 percent.
