UTSA to extend football series with in-state rival

The University of Texas at San Antonio and Texas State University football programs will play annually for nine seasons beginning in 2023. The agreement between the two schools, which are separated by fewer than 60 miles, will renew a rivalry that will go dark for a couple of years after the two teams meet in San Marcos on Sept. 12 as part of the H-E-B I-35 Showdown.
